LiveGraph vs Zapier Agents

Zapier Agents puts a prompt box on top of the largest app-integration catalog in the business. What it doesn't give you is the machine: there is no orchestration graph to open, watch, or edit — the agent's plan lives inside the black box.

LiveGraph is built for the opposite bet. If you're the person on the hook when a hop goes to the wrong place, the graph had better be yours — visible while the run executes, and steerable while it's executing.

Side by side

DimensionZapier AgentsLiveGraph
The orchestration graphNone exposed — agent behavior is configured, never drawn or inspected. The product itself — a visible, editable graph of agents, routers, and approval gates, before and during the run.
Mid-run steeringNot evaluatedStays live — every hop is visible while it executes, and dragging an edge changes where this run goes next.
IntegrationsThe widest app catalog in the category — Zapier's genuine moat.MCP servers, scoped http_request endpoints, and file tools — narrower, but every connection is one you configured and can see.
Human approval gatesNot evaluatedRun-level gates that park at the approvals queue, plus per-tool-call gates (e.g. a single http_request endpoint) — the pending payload is always visible to the approver.
Model rosterNot evaluatedPer-node provider and model — Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Groq, OpenRouter, or an OpenAI-compatible endpoint; your call per node.
HostingHosted only — no self-host option.Hosted web app at livegraph.ai.
PricingTask-metered billing — surprise-invoice complaints are documented.Flat team price — runs are never metered. Model usage on hosted keys is metered on top; your own keys are never marked up.

Competitor rows are limited to claims verified in our own research — "Not evaluated" means we didn't check, not that the capability is missing. On the LiveGraph side, one nuance: runs started from chat or the canvas Run button are steerable; unattended runs (API, schedules, webhooks) run pinned to the graph they started on — steering is a watched-run feature, by design.

When Zapier Agents is the better pick

  • You're already a Zapier shop. If the work is app-to-app automation against Zapier's catalog and the agent is a thin layer on top, staying inside that ecosystem is the pragmatic call.
  • The job is a trigger and a response. Classic automation — this happens, do that — doesn't need multi-agent routing or a canvas at all. Zapier has spent a decade making exactly that easy.

If the agents you're running are starting to look like a system — several of them, routing to each other, touching real infrastructure — that's the moment the black box stops being a convenience. LiveGraph is the graph underneath, live.

See it yourself

The live demo runs a real multi-agent graph in your browser — no signup, no API key — including the mid-run edge drag. If the canvas earns it, an account takes a minute.
